Michael was a Norwood 6 and 44 years old. 4 weeks ago we commenced a number of sessions - 2,500 donor hair and 3,000 chest and abdominal/loin hair. Total of 5,500 grafts.
The last session was 10 days ago to the frontal hairline. The scabs were removed immediately prior to these photographs being taken explaining the minor pinkness to the frontal hairline.
Abdominal hair was placed to the crown 2 weeks ago. A close up shot is provided and some of the scabs are still present.
There has been significant shedding. However, there is still good growth. All graft hair shafts were 1 to 2 mm in length. As is clearly seen, many hair have extended by several millimetres. This is exemplified in the skyline view and lateral shots.
Michael lives close to our clinic and updates will be provided. Further shedding is expected but as these 4 week post photos show, we expect much more eventual growth and an excellent result.
Importantly, each and every follicle from the donor and body was completely intact with a mature bulb and gland present prior to insertion. Our 16 years of experience and the consensus from the general hair transplantation field clearly defines that this is the optimal approach.
As usual, each graft was placed individually by myself or Dr Angela Woods-Campbell, one by one, under microscopic control with the patient observing.
